A Show that is Different
Even young children are entranced

I am very sorry but there will be no shows at the puppet theatre in the immediate future. We had a fire during the early hours of August 2nd and the auditorium suffered fire and smoke damage.
I hope we will next open for the October Half Term.We will announce reopening date on this site.
So very sorry to disappoint you.

From July 31st to August 30th

Mondays to Fridays at 3pm

Except no shows on July 28
or August 4, 15, 16, 17 & 18 **

Hansel & Gretel the classic fairy tale from the Brothers Grimm is probably the most popular of the fairy tales. The children get lost in the forest only to fall into the clutches of the wicked witch who plans to cook and eat them. Gretel cleverly foils the wicked witch by pushing her in her own oven. Of course everything ends happily, just as it always does in the best fairy tales.
This show also includes the Magic Tricks of Mr Bimbamboozle always with the enthusiastic participation of the children, and the performace concludes with a Marionette Cabaret where adults and children are fascinated to see just how the strings are pulled to bring the puppets to life. The whole show is one of Skill and Artistry and is a show you cannot experience anywhere else. It is unique.

A delightful show for all the family to enjoy. Traditional Entertainment for Today's Children.

Britain's premier Marionette Theatre regularly presents wonderful puppets shows including pantomimes at Christmas. The Harlequin is Britain's first and only permament theatre designed and built for puppets. Established 1958. Situated in North Wales between Llandudno and Colwyn Bay at Rhos on Sea the Harlequin Puppet Theatre presents a pantomime Christmas Show each year. The panto starts on Boxing Day. This is ideal family entertainment and delightful for children. It is not too far to travel from Cheshire, Chester, the Wirral, Merseyside and christmas pantomime bookings can be made online. The 2017/18 show is The Sleeping Princess. Also in the show is Mr Bimbamboozle with his magic tricks with a great deal of audience participation and help from the children. The show, as always, ends with the Amazing Marionette Cabaret.
